Another comparison from Diavolezza towards Piz Palü (3905m.a.s.l.), covering a much shorter time interval of only 5 years documents the accelerated rate of deglacierisation. Remarkably, also the ice flow on Vadret Pers (bottom) can be seen: Two small patches of debris (lower right) are moving towards the observer. In the 2003 image they are more prominent as they have further melted out of the ice (photos Joachim Wolff).
