Baby Glacier in 1977, early in the ablation season, and on July 7th, 2008 from the exact same position: Although some snow remains, the glacier margin can be recognized reasonably well in the 1977 photo. Note the considerable surface lowering which took place during the 31 years between the photos. This is particularly obvious along the true right side (left in the image) of the glacier.
