Gornersee, before and after draining (2. till 6. July), tele photo from Gornergrat. Due to a major calving event at Grenzgletscher (lower right) most icebergs are in the southern part of the lake (centre). Large icebergs are unable to enter the northern part (lower left corner) because of a rise in the lake bottom. Note the nice round tarn in the upper part of the photos.
