At the confluence of Gorner- and Grenzgletscher no significant ice-dammed lake has formed since 2012 (cf. next image).

A debris flow from the true right-hand lateral moraine is an indication of the recession of Gornergletscher and destabilisation of the moraine as the ice surface lowers. Note persons on the ice.
