The craters from Pizzo
25. April 1996. This picture was taken from Pizzo during a severe Scirocco storm (wind speeds at least 100km/h). This is why the smoke is blown towards the back and down the (Sciara del Fuoco) and the visibility of the craters is unusually good. The two individual photographs necessary for this stereo view could not be taken simultaneously because the storm conditions made setting up tripods utterly impossible. Therefore the remaining smoke does not appear in 3D. The viewing angle in the map of camera positions is 'C1 und C1-3'.
