| In the images below (based on satellite photos NASA-MODIS A2003257_2300 and A2006145_2200) volcanoes mentioned in the photo pages are marked by red and towns by yellow dots. The upper image was taken in May, and there is still a considerable amount of winter snow. The lower image is from September, when only glaciers appear white; the upper resembles the situation found during the April 2009 SOL expedition, the lower that found in September 2007. |
