A Home at the End of the World, 1990 - Summary

  • Jonathan and Bobby are close friends. When both of Bobby's parents die, he moves in with Jonathan's family. Jonathan is gay, Bobby is straight, and they develop a very close friendship. Then Jonathan moves to New York and lives with Clare. They love each other and talk about having a baby. Bobby stays with Jonathan's parents until they move to Arizona. He then moves to New York as well and lives with Clare and Jonathan. Clare and Bobby fall in love, and they have a baby. Actually the three persons love each other, and their baby, Rebecca, has two fathers. They buy a house in the country, open a restaurant and for quite some time, this seems to be a picture-perfect family. But then Clare moves out, taking her daughter with her.
