Crusoe Glacier in 1977 and on July 6th, 2008 from the south. The glacier tongue has not only advanced but also noticably thickened. Note that in 2008 there is much more meltwater runoff (lower left), as during this exceptionally warm summer temperatures reached more than 20 deg Celsius in protected locations near the glacier front.
