Sakurajima and Kirishima
Introducion |
In November 2001 SOL photographer Marco Fulle organized an astronomical expedition to Kyushu, Southern Japan, in order to observe the strongest meteor shower since 1966. Obviously he selected a volcano as his observing site, and profited of ten days of wonderful weather to collect some images of active volcanoes of the Tatsuma province. Here we present these and others taken during the wet summer of 1998, together with the exceptional results regarding the big Leonid Meteor Shower: another chapter of SOL's «The Sky Above». |
