Recession of Vadret da Roseg as seen from the Swiss Alpine Club hut "Coaz": Particularly obvious is the ice-loss in the steep rock faces of Piz Glüschaint (3594m, right) and La Sella (3584m, left). The glacier has also thinned considerably in the forground, and less crevassed due to slower ice flow (photos Joachim Wolff).
