The old grammar school where Ms. Lee attended grades 5 and 6. It was originally built for grades 7 - 12, but was used for elementary grades after the high school students were moved to a new high school in 1936.

The new high school was built in 1936, about four blocks from the other schools. Harper Lee graduated from this school in 1944.
