On 14 July 2009, we were able to relocate the exact site of a photograph taken in 1995. The earlier photo shows many more icebergs in Kongsfjorden generated by intensive calving from Kronebreen/Kongsvegen. Recession of the glaciers is evident, even from this distance, at the base of Collethøgda, the big mountain between the two calving fronts. Remarkably there is very little change in the near foreground (the lateral shift of objects is due to a small change in the camera position; MH).
