A Home at the End of the World, 1990 - Summary

  • Jonathan and Bobby are close friends. When both of Bobby's parents die, he moves in with Jonathan's family. Jonathan is gay, Bobby is straight, and a very close friendship develops. Then Jonathan moves to New York and lives together with Clare. They love each other and talk about having a baby. Bobby stays with Jonathan's parents, until they move to Arizona. He then too goes to New York and lives with Clare and Jonathan. Clare and Bobby fall in love and they have a baby. Actually the three persons love each other, and the baby, Rebecca, has two fathers. They buy a house in the country, open a restaurant and for quite some time, this seems to be a picture family. But then Clare moves out, taking her daughter with her.
