Nördlinger Ries impact structure

	«	Suevite was also used for the construction of the famous steeple in Nördlingen, the "Daniel". It strongly resembles volcanic ignimbrite. Within the whitish matrix are small rock fragments of various colours, some partially melted and containing bubbles. Little wonder that first theories regarding the crater involved volcanism!	»
