What's it about?
The history of antisemitism can be taught using either the handout «Antisemitism through the ages» from the USHMM website or showing their film «European Antisemitism from its Origins to the Holocaust», whose transcript is also included. The film is available at: http://www.ushmm.org/confront-antisemitism/european-antisemitism-from-its-origins-to-the-holocaust and lasts 13:44 min. Students can then analyse Hitler’s and Goebbel’s writings (content, comparison to previous forms of antisemitism, use of rhetorics...). The handout with the text of the Nuremberg Laws can be discussed using illustrations from the following website: http://gedenkstaettesteinhof.at/de/ausstellung/02-rassenwahn-und-menschenzucht
