Ground level ozone
Written by Paul Kaeser
Contents | importance of tropospheric ozone, reactions involved in ozone production and depletion, retrieval and interpretation of air pollution data |
Suitable for | Gymnasium level |
Prerequisites | reaction equations, structural formulae |
Time | 3 lessons |
Material | computer with internet access in the last lesson |
What's it about?
The students will learn about the main aspects of air pollution with the example of tropospheric ozone, as well as the relations between different pollutants. The interaction of different reactions and environmental factors in a steady state equilibrium will also be explained. Students will then be able to apply the theory when interpreting specific data obtained from the internet.
